2015.......My new chapter

'2015 is really a new chapter for me, I have started the New Year as a divorced single mother. My ex-husband was seeing another woman for the last couple of years (a year that I definitely know of and according to a text she wrote to him two years). He moved out the later part of October. I filed for divorce on our 21st wedding anniversary, December 11, 2014 and the divorce was finalized on December 29, 2014. A total of 18 days is what it took. It probably wouldn't of taken that long but I forgot a section. Wow, 21 years and just in 18 days it's over and in two day after that is was back to my maiden name. I changed my social, drivers license, car title, and bank accounts in two days. Funny story about the car title. Since I had to change the plate from volunteer firefighter to regular plates the lady at DMV skipped a license just to give me the license plate number 911 XXX. She said to piss him off. Ha ha. I just hope that 2015 is as easy as these last few weeks.
Bertha talked me into getting a snap chat so now I am learning that, so we snap each other. And now I want to try blogging more, just for me. So I can remember and track my life.
Since my ex has left it has been one struggle after another, first my tire had a hole/gash in it, then I needed to replace a rear break ( that is a lot of $), then my dryer broke ( we are drying in the casita), we ran out of wood and had to have my nephew block some ( he only blocked two logs) and I split them, oh yeah the sewer is plugged and now has frozen so we have lost use of my bathroom. Oh yeah I think the toilet needs a new ring also.
I don't want to be a downer to anyone but I am writing this for me and I feel that it helps me right now and it will help me when I look back to see all that I have accomplished.
I wasn't the best person to be around this x-mas break but I did take the kids ice skating and to play pool a few times. The weather is just so cold and I am too depressed to do anything. My sleeping habit suck too. I am not getting enough sleep that's for sure.
Tomorrow CJ has a basket ball game and I get to see his dad, happy, happy joy, joy.

Here is a snapchat photo that my youngest and I took. Our first selfie for 2015.

Update

So....on the last post I wrote down everything that I wanted to do this last holiday of the summer well, I didnt get much done. I was able to can most of the peaches (and the person I was suppost to give peaches to wasn't home) plus much of them went bad :( On Saturday B got home and we took her straight to the ER to check if her foot wasn't broken. Thank god it wasn't just sprained. She just needs to stay off of it, she is on crutches. I did purchase 2 bags of green chilie that day and landed up staying up till 2:00 am peeling it. On Sunday I bagged it and froze it. We landed up helping at the pueblo house on that day and on Monday. I barely go one chapter of homework done on Monday. I was still busy just not what I wanted to do. Yesterday I finished the last chapter of homework and then after work we went to M's cross country meeting and B's first home volleyball game. It wasn't as fun to watch since B wasn't playing (she was keeping the clock). This weekend I only have homework planned, caticism for the littles, and a birthday party. Doesn't sound like a lot but I will still be tired. M has a cross country meet on Saturday so I will still need to get up early, they are leaving at 5:30am. Things I still NEED to do: make and can peach jelly make and can more applesauce make and can applebutter make and can just plain apples help stucco M's room and paint my dinning room I need to paint the dinning room soon because Big C is talking about starting the washroom. I thing we figured out all the details, just need the time to get it done. I don't think it will take but maybe a weekend to do with all the water and drainage and walls. Hopefully all this gets done soon. I will post the total of all the canning later.

Busy

This morning I took B to catch the bus that was taking her to Belen for a volleyball tournament. She will come back tomarrow. At 12:30 I take M to catch the bus that will take him to Albuquerque for his first cross country meet. He is not running until 9:00 tonight so I am guessing that I wont get to bed early since I have to pick him up, guessing about 1-2 in the morning. I have a three day weekend but I have so much to do. I have 2 baskets of peaches(I will probably give one away)to process and I still have 1 basket of apples. Sigh....it took me a whole week to process dryed apples so we can snack on and the two older kids just took them ALL to their game/meet. I think I need more trays if I want to keep up. I also need to read two chapter and take test on them and I also should paint. We did take down M's old room and I now have a larger (smiles) dining room, however it is blue, peach, white and brown. I really want to paint it. I registered S in soccer so that will be starting up in two weeks and Lit'l C wants to start gymnastics this next week(it will be easier, payment wise, to start in the begining of the month). Oh and catechism starts in two weeks also, Sundays for the littles and Tuesdays for the big kids. San G is coming up so we are getting the pueblo house ready for that, and it doesn't help that Uncle is in the hospital sick. I think we are laying linoleum tomarrow and weeding over there. No wonder I am tired.

Today was a very "stiff" day. I decided to not go exercise today but I did move a lot. I cleaned. That in itself is exercise. I didn't track my food today but I didn't really eat much. I think I am too tired to want to eat. Planning to go to bed early so I can get up early and go to the gym.
I weighted myself today and I didn't lose anything, nor did I gain anything. I guess I can't complain.
Good night.

Happy New Year everyone!!!!
So this only my third day going to the spa and doing the routine that the trainer set up for me, and all I have to say is "ouch". I hurt from my neck to my toes (yes, even my toes hurt). I worked out in nature before, mostly walking. I didn't strength train at all or constantly go up. The trainer has me on the machine that is a lot like climbing stairs, and of course weight machines. I just hope all this hurt is worth it.
I hope to continue writing about my weight loss goal. My goal is to lose 30 pounds by May 25th. I made a bet with my family; if I lose they each get $50. Thats $250. total.
One of my daily goals is to drink 64 oz of water a day. So far I have met my goal for the last 3 days and actually went over.
Another daily goal is eating 1470 calories. This one is hard to accomplish only because I make a lot of my food and don't know how to calculate the calories. For example, I made homemade tortillas, how do I calculate the calories if I do not measure everything except by "hand measure" and I don't always make the tortillas a certain dimension. So I think that a more realistic goal is to only have one serving on homemade foods. Never go back for seconds.
Limiting drinking Pepsi to occasionally is also a big goal. That is a hard one. I did have 10 ounces today for New Years Eve. And I had not had Pepsi since Christmas.
Good night all.

Snow in the Valley

Today was the first snow fall for the ski valley. I really can't believe it. Last weekend we went to Red River and the Enchanted cirle. The changing of the leaves were so beautiful. I think this is the prettiest that I have ever seen them. We had a blast in Red River. We didn't do too much, just walked the shops and played in the park. Oh yeah, had lunch and ice cream. Yesterday we rearranged all the child care furniture so we can make a fire, it was sooooo cold due to all the rain that we got. And again today I made a fire. The two babies did so well in keeping away from the wood stove.

This past weekend

On Friday, S had her first All Star game against Los Alamos. They called the game by the 4th ending because Taos was 10 points ahead. THEY WON 26-16. On the way home Lit'l C lost a tooth (boy was he happy). The tooth fairy brought him $3.00 (he bought 2 hot wheel cars and that goop that makes farting sounds. This morning, Sunday, S had another game against Santa Rosa. Unfortunately they lost, bad 29-6. This afternoon lit'l C was coming in for dinner and fell. We like to say a spanish poem to the kids when they get hurt but Lit'l C has changed to Sana, sana, collita de rana, eat your banana. Well when daddy was doing this he hit lit'l C's other loose tooth and made that one come out. LOL. My poor boy looks like a jack-o-lantern.
More money and cars to come.
