Happy New Year everyone!!!!
So this only my third day going to the spa and doing the routine that the trainer set up for me, and all I have to say is "ouch". I hurt from my neck to my toes (yes, even my toes hurt). I worked out in nature before, mostly walking. I didn't strength train at all or constantly go up. The trainer has me on the machine that is a lot like climbing stairs, and of course weight machines. I just hope all this hurt is worth it.
I hope to continue writing about my weight loss goal. My goal is to lose 30 pounds by May 25th. I made a bet with my family; if I lose they each get $50. Thats $250. total.
One of my daily goals is to drink 64 oz of water a day. So far I have met my goal for the last 3 days and actually went over.
Another daily goal is eating 1470 calories. This one is hard to accomplish only because I make a lot of my food and don't know how to calculate the calories. For example, I made homemade tortillas, how do I calculate the calories if I do not measure everything except by "hand measure" and I don't always make the tortillas a certain dimension. So I think that a more realistic goal is to only have one serving on homemade foods. Never go back for seconds.
Limiting drinking Pepsi to occasionally is also a big goal. That is a hard one. I did have 10 ounces today for New Years Eve. And I had not had Pepsi since Christmas.
Good night all.

Snow in the Valley
Today was the first snow fall for the ski valley. I really can't believe it. Last weekend we went to Red River and the Enchanted cirle. The changing of the leaves were so beautiful. I think this is the prettiest that I have ever seen them. We had a blast in Red River. We didn't do too much, just walked the shops and played in the park. Oh yeah, had lunch and ice cream. Yesterday we rearranged all the child care furniture so we can make a fire, it was sooooo cold due to all the rain that we got. And again today I made a fire. The two babies did so well in keeping away from the wood stove.

This past weekend
On Friday, S had her first All Star game against Los Alamos. They called the game by the 4th ending because Taos was 10 points ahead. THEY WON 26-16. On the way home Lit'l C lost a tooth (boy was he happy). The tooth fairy brought him $3.00 (he bought 2 hot wheel cars and that goop that makes farting sounds. This morning, Sunday, S had another game against Santa Rosa. Unfortunately they lost, bad 29-6. This afternoon lit'l C was coming in for dinner and fell. We like to say a spanish poem to the kids when they get hurt but Lit'l C has changed to Sana, sana, collita de rana, eat your banana. Well when daddy was doing this he hit lit'l C's other loose tooth and made that one come out. LOL. My poor boy looks like a jack-o-lantern.
More money and cars to come.

Freezer meals
Today I made two dozen tortillas, well three but I made one earlier in the day, two dozen pancakes(one regular and one blueberry) and two dozen waffles for the freezer. Last week I made three batches of muffins and froze two. Slowly I am stocking our freezer because I have been sooooo busy with the kids and their sports that we have been spending way too much money eating out. I am starting with the baking goods and then will make a few dishes to put into the freezer. My hubby doesn't like cooked frozen foods so I am planning on making stuff that I can pop into the oven and cook later. I am thinking (besides the baking goods) of smothered burritos, enchiladas, spagetti sauce, meatloaf, and burritos. I am not sure when I will get to these because I am starting my days at 6:00am at the fields and ending my days after 6:00pm (practice starts at 6:00)at the fields, and practices inbetween during the day. Plus work, one baby two days and another baby two other days. Whew am I tired just thinking about it. Until next time goodnite.

Fathers Day
Happy fathers day to all the fathers that love and support their kids. I want to also wish my husband a happy fathers day. Without him my life would be soooooooo much harder raising our kids. Today he worked in the morning and then we went to Rio Grand Ace Hardware to have him pick our the knife he had mentioned he wanted. When we were there they were giving away hot dogs, popcorn and water so now we joke that the kids and I took him out to fathers day lunch. Lol. We didn't find the knife he wanted so we went to Wal-mart and got fishing license and headed to Pilar to fish. The winds were strong and therefore we lost a lot of hooks. Oh yeah the water is high also. It was fun but fustrating. I did catch a cat fish and through it back. S made the all star team, and her softball team came in first for the season with only losing two games (yeah Sunbirds). Yesterday they started their tournament and she won 12-11. She plays tomarrow at 5:15. B and M lasted their first week in condition camp for football and volleyball. They both love it and are looking forward to this coming week. Lit'C finished his t-ball this last week also(I am not sure if he has make up games or not).

1week old
Today is a week that we have had our new 2011 chevrolet silverado. It is fire engine red with four doors, automatic and has air-conditioning. And we all fit. Big C took it to Santa Fe. He said it seemed slower than the Jimmy. I think he just needs to get used to it. Now he is trying to put on the bumper and because it wasn't ordered he is having a very hard time putting it on. We don't want to put any wholes into this new truck of ours.
Test
Hello everyone. This is a test from my iPod. Hopefully this works so I can write more on this blog. If only for myself.

First post
Hey everyone, I had another blog with my childcare, however after several of you have mentioned that your pictures were stolen I must make the childcare blog private. So this blog will be about my childcare days, being a mother to four children (2 girls and 2 boys), adoption, and just my life as I move along day by day.
